Maint. View Read through Program

Hi Experts,

Req: I would like to read a maintenance view data through a program. Do we have option?

I tried following things:

1) I tried through Select query, Its throwing error.

2) I tried VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL function module. Its throwing dumps.

Could you please tell me how to write code? It will be very nice if you gave sample program.

Note: I am new to ABAP
